Portfolio companies are chosen based on their growth potential and whether the investment would be consistent with our social objectives. As a result, we look primarily for minority-owned and/or businesses operating in neglected urban locations in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

We have no set of industries that we look to invest in but instead seek companies with innovative products or services that have the ability operate in an under-served market. Our investment may take the form of equity securities, long-term debt, or convertible securities.

With any of our portfolio companies, we require a presence on the Board of Directors. We will have an active management roll in setting the strategic direction of the company with the degree of our involvement dependent upon the qualifications of the existing management team.

Our investments generally range from $250,000 to $1,000,000 per portfolio company.
