Renaissance Capital Advisors ("RCA") is a private equity investment management firm based in Los Angeles and formed in 1999. The company was founded to facilitate community development by investing in businesses located in the metropolitan Los Angeles area. RCA raises capital from qualified investors and has an active management approach to investing these funds in privately held businesses that have an influence with economically disadvantaged groups and areas.

The firm has two interdependent and fundamental objectives: (a) generate a social return on investment, and (b) generate a reasonable financial return. The firm seeks to satisfy both objectives with every investment.

With a focus on community development, in addition to seeking opportunities for capital appreciation by investing in local businesses that offer meaningful long-term growth potential, the company also looks to create employment opportunities and encourage economic enterprise ownership by economically disadvantaged groups.

Our belief is that the best way to improve the conditions of the economically disadvantaged groups in the community is to provide them with the opportunity to develop and grow businesses in their neighborhoods.

Our initial capital fund is FAME Renaissance Equity Fund, L.P. which is a Delaware limited partnership formed in a joint venture with the First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Los Angeles.
